Brussels - Ghent - Bruges

This is Raz.  Raz is red and rad.  Snazzy Raz.  Raz is on the road again with Priscilla!  Hooray!

Priscilla set out this morning.  What do you think she packed?  Here are your choices:

A.  One suitcase (on a little wagon she pulls behind her bike) and a regular backpack.
B.  A medium-size bike trailer.
C.  Her purse.
D.  One of those big serious hiking backpacks, plus a fanny pack.

So Priscilla set out and it rained.  Two full hours of rain which drenched her, despite her excellent red rainwear.  So she took a little break.


Voila Raz.  Raz est rouge et ravissante.  Raz a beaucoup de pizzazz.  Raz est de nouveau en route avec Priscilla!  Youppi!

Priscilla et Raz ont commence la voyage ce matin.  A votre avis, qu'est-ce qu'elle a emballe?  Voici les choix:

A.  Une valise (sur un petit wagon rouge qu'elle entraine derriere son velo) et un sac-a-dos.
B.  Une remorque a velo, de taille moyenne.
C.  Son sac-a-main.

Alors, Priscilla a commence et il pleuvait.  Deux heures entieres de pluie qui l'ont trempe, malgre son excellent K-Way rouge.  Donc elle a pris un petit pause.

The sun came out, but it was quickly followed by dark clouds and more rain.  Somewhere in the midst of that rain came a delicious smell...

Le soleil a apparu, mais suivit aussitot par de gros nuages sombres et encore de la pluie.  Et quelque part pendant la pluie une odeur delicieuse est advenue...

Yum yum bread.  But they weren't lobbing fresh toasty loaves of bread to passing bikers today, so Priscilla just sniffed up a bunch of the smell as she rode on down the road.

She made it to Ghent, where she warmed up with some hot chocolate and enjoyed a piano concert.  Check it out-- this wild roof and no walls, and that ribbon-festooned structure with buckets.  Priscilla thought the acoustics were great.

Du pain-- miam miam!  Mais personne n'etait la pour jeter du pain frais aux veloistes passants, donc Priscilla s'est contente a renifler plusieurs fois pendant qu'elle passait.

Elle est arrivee a Gand, ou elle s'est rechauffe d'un chocolat chaud.  La egalement elle a eu la plaisir d'assister a un concert de piano en plein air.  Et regarde!  Ce toit chouette, pas de murs, le structure tout enrubanne, les seaux dessous... selon Priscilla, l'acoustique etait excellente.

The rain started up again, and it was getting late, so she and Raz hopped on a train to Bruges.

La pluie a repris, et il commencait etre tard, alors elle et Raz ont pris le train a Bruges.

The rain kept up, so she was pretty glad to be on the train for the last bit, and she made it to her host for tonight.

La pluie a continue, donc elle est content d'avoir choisir aller en train pour le dernier piste.  Et la elle est arrivee chez son hote pour ce soir.
